1. Strategic Purpose & Scope of the Role

The Finance Manager leads the entire financial management lifecycle for high-value engineering, procurement, and construction (EPC) projects in the UAE energy sector. The position acts as the commercial co-pilot to the General Manager, overseeing project cost control, project cash flow forecasting, multi-currency letters of credit (LCs), bank guarantees, and statutory tax compliance.

2. Core Financial & Operational Responsibilities

  • Project Accounting & Earned Value Analysis: Implement percentage-of-completion (PoC) revenue recognition under IFRS 15 for multi-year EPC contracts. Track project budget variances, committed costs, and margin slippages.
  • Statutory Compliance & UAE Corporate Tax: Prepare and file corporate tax returns under UAE Federal Decree-Law No. 47 of 2022 (9% corporate tax regime), manage quarterly VAT returns, and coordinate annual external statutory audits with Big 4 audit partners.
  • ERP Architecture & SAP Governance: Oversee financial accounting (FI) and controlling (CO) modules in SAP, ensuring automated reconciliations, fixed-asset tracking, and real-time management information systems (MIS).
  • Treasury & Working Capital Management: Negotiate project financing facilities, project-specific overdrafts, and performance bonds with UAE commercial banks (FAB, ADCB, ENBD).
  • Team Supervision: Lead and evaluate a departmental team of 6 to 10 accountants, payroll specialists, and billing controllers.

3. Candidate Requirements & Certifications
