Executive Briefing: Asking Forgiveness from All Creation

During the eight or ten days of Paryushana, Jains undertake fasting and scriptural study, culminating in Samvatsari where every individual recites the phrase: “Michhami Dukkadam” (May all the evil that has been done by me be forgiven).

1. The Universal Forgiveness Stanza

“Khamemi Savve Jiva, Savve Jiva Khamantu Me” (I forgive all living beings, may all living beings forgive me. My friendship is with all, my enmity with none).
